We need all the ways we can come up with to creatively ground ourselves in these hard times. Making sushi sounds like a great way to do it. People seem to reverently pursue form and practice in Japan. Just what you are talking about.

Very true, Carl. I just finished reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up (late to the party on that one, I know, but I needed some inspiration to tackle the cluttered corners of my house) and it was a lot about the idea of doing things, even something like tidying/decluttering with reverence and thought. I don't agree with everything Marie Kondo says in that book, but the overall idea of slowing down and being a bit more thoughtful has much merit.
